Gahanbar Hamaspathmaedaya / Panj-e-meh

March 9 @ 17:00 - 20:00 PST

Gahanbars are one of the six festivals in Zoroastrianism that celebrate the seasons and possibly the six stages in the creation of the world.

Hamaspathmaedaya, also known as Panj-e-meh, is one of the six Gahanbars or seasonal festivals in Zoroastrianism. It is celebrated during the last five intercalary or Gatha days of the year. What makes it special is its association with the vernal equinox, a time when day and night are of equal length, symbolizing balance and harmony in nature.

This Gahanbar is to celebrate when Ahura Mazda created the Human.
